Akanishi Jin may be working hard to make it in the United States music industry, but he’s also staying close to home.
Just after releasing his first English-language single Test Drive, Jin is ending his 2011 in Japan with his second Japanese solo single Seasons. Akanishi Jin’s American debut mini album “TEST DRIVE featuring JASON DERULO” has sold 109,000 copies, taking the number one spot on Oricon’s 12/19 Weekly Album Ranking.
Seasons was Written by Jin himself, the ballad is his touching tribute to all the people he loves.

AKB48 sister group no3b upholds their urban lady image with their latest single Pedicure Day, an upbeat bubble gum pop tune about how to look your most comfortable on a date.
This will be their first single in about six months, with their last being “Kuchibiru Furezu“. The title track is described to be a cute number that describes the feelings of a girl in love.
The PV features the members as they wake up and get ready for a girls party later in the day with their friends. It’s an up-tempo girlish song that is full of color. The single also includes Jessica wa Door wo Knock Shinai as B-side track.

NYC, the Johnny’s group’s latest double A-side single Wonderful Cupid/Glass no Mahou is also especially important for member Nakayama Yuma because it includes his solo single!
Glass no Mahou is a solo song that Yuma performed live at the Johnny’s Musical Shinshun Takizawa Kakumei, and it has been given a new arrangement just for this single release.

Fairies is a Japanese pop idol group on the agency Vision Factory and on the label SONIC GROOVE under avex. They formed in 2011 with hopes of becoming big like Amuro Namie and SPEED who share the same agency as the group. Later that year, they made their musical debut with the single “More Kiss / Song for You”.
“HERO / Sweet Jewel” is Fairies’s second single is scheduled to be released on December 21st. In anticipation of its release, their label released the PV previews for both title tracks through the girls’ official YouTube channel.
Visual kei band Alice Nine is wrapping up a prolific 2011 with “Niji no Yuki”, a gentle rock ballad perfect for the cold winter nights. “Niji no Yuki” is the 15 major and 19th overall single released by Alice Nine.
This will be Alice Nine’s first ballad single, and is scheduled for release on December 21st. The song is written by lead vocalist Sho, and it’ll be serving as the December opening theme for the music countdown show CDTV.
